ROUND
6 UPDATE

NEWS FLASH
THE ANZAC TRADITION OF THRASHING THE
OPPOSITION IS UPHELD BY THE MAGPIES
MAGPIES 23.16 – 154
WALLOPED THE
BOMBERS 12.9 - 81
And that’s all there is to
this update folks, for a couple of reasons.............
1.
My mate Dave G is in town and last night
Dave gave me, ‘Little Plugger aka Uncy Herb Sucks’ and ‘FootyFreak97’ (my Foo loving
nephews) a 2.5 hr lesson in how to have a good time with guitars and drums. Fev
sent me a message on Saturday to tell me how cool the Foo were on Friday night,
and that they played 3 songs for the encore. Well Fev, last night they played an
8 or 9 (there were that many I lost count) song encore! It’s pretty obvious to
me and everyone at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night that we were a
more deserving crowd than those reprobates in Melbourne.

Me
and the Lions No. 1 supporter spent the weekend in Melbourne at OWSTA’s, then
Crumpy’s. I personally consumed 2 cigars (a Hoyo and a Cohiba), half a case of
beer, a bottle of Tokay, and half OWSTA’s port barrel. And that was just on Anzac
Friday. So you’ll understand why I’ve been a bit slack this week. Add my
weekend away to catching up with Dave last night, and my argument is backed up
rather solidly.
Some photos from last night.

I’ve fixed up the sledge page so that you
don’t have to log in.
There’s no excuse now for the likes of
‘The Phantom’, ‘Fev’, ‘The Choker’, ‘Just Making up the Numbers’ and ‘Should’ve
joined Clarence’s’, not to stick the boot in. To other tippers, not necessarily
me!
Or just go to the brilliant home page www.cooliosfootytips.com and click
on the ‘Sledge here’ link.

I’ve chased up all the entry money – so
here are the final prize ‘divvys’
Now that the money’s been counted, and the bookies have been pacified, I can ‘officially’ declare the prizes for this seasons comp.
It’s big money this year, so pull your collective fingers out and start studying the form guide. If you’re tipping poorly, then start studying a different type of form guide! Bluey already has.
Total prize pool = Number of paid up tippers 73 x $20 = $1460
Weekly prizes = 22 rounds x $20 = $440
Remainder of prize pool for end of season winners = $1020
1st place = $500
2nd place = $250
3rd place = $150
4th place = $70
5th place = $50
